This week, I’m grateful for the bonus of having an extra week to get the space complete. Because we TOTALLY needed it. (Catch up with week 1 // week 2 // week 3 // week 4)
To recap this fall’s ORC — we painted 10 year old Jude‘s rooms, had bunk beds assembled, couldn’t fit the original sofa up the stairs, so we moved it downstairs (and subsequently rechristened the whole thing the One House Challenge), and then decided at the last minute to install hardwood floors upstairs. I think that about covers it.
A few things to note:
The wood floors are DONE, and we are THRILLED with the final look. It was halfway there last week at this point, and he wrapped it up on Friday afternoon. Initially we were a little worried that maybe it’d end up being super loud with wood floors upstairs, but in general, the rugs we chose have kinda absorbed most of that sound.
I’m now in styling and photography mode to get everything ready for the big reveal next week. Stay tuned on Instagram Stories for sneak peeks along the way.
