20 Stylish Swing Arm Sconces: The Ultimate Roundup

Swing arm sconces are having a major moment right now in the design world, and I’m no exception. Last week I showed you the brass swing arm sconces that I installed at the lake house, and I thought it might be helpful to do a roundup of some of my current favorites. Brass is still HUGE right now, but black is also having a major moment. Colorful versions aren’t super plentiful, but then again with all the gorgeous metallics happening, I can’t imagine going any other route. And that’s coming from the queen of color right here. ::wink wink::

Midcentury swing arm sconces are also popular, but there’s a pretty broad range of industrial, classic, etc. I really love seeing all the independent lighting shops popping up on Etsy – Lucent has been around for awhile now and makes gorgeous stuff, but I’m also intrigued by TripleSeven Home and Photonic Studio.  The price points overall run the gamut, but don’t feel like this is a trend that will price you out of buying in. I’ve seen everything from $129 on up so this is definitely an attainable look.

Finally, don’t feel intimidated about hardwiring, either. We went with the plugin version for the lake bedroom, primarily because I’m too fickle in my decorating ADD to commit to hardwiring anything, and secondly because I didn’t want to mess with hardwiring.
